TISS is a robust information system that, besides optical modules, also includes modules for excellent management of a successful e-shop. Therefore, it is a shame not to use the potential of the internet. Stock cards, which you basically have prepared anyway for sales, are simply transferred to your website. With proper sales support, you can earn money online as well.
They want to keep it separate in another program. Which functions of the TISS system will be used is entirely up to the optical store's decision. It is not necessary, for example, to issue invoices for health insurance companies directly in TISS Optic. Similarly, a connection with eKasa is not required. Several clients use TISS only for record-keeping and organization in work cards. Receipts and invoices are done outside the TISS system.
TISS can export various data, for example, to Pohoda, Tangram, and Omega. We make your accountants’ work as easy as possible. Purchases, sales, complete invoicing data, and customer information can all be exported.
No. TISS is designed for clear work and record-keeping in an optical store. It records clients, their examinations, product stock, and overall sales. TISS can also be used as inventory management with precise tracking of stock movements, but this is not mandatory. If TISS is used as an accurate reflection of stock, it provides several types of outputs and exports needed for accounting software. However, TISS does not replace accounting itself. It is possible to transfer various data into accounting programs.
No. TISS operates independently. However, if you want to use the e-shop together with TISS, it is easier to adapt the e-shop to work with TISS.
Any text can be added to all print reports generated by TISS. This means that a text with instructions for the client is inserted into the work card for the glasses, along with a space for the signature for consent to personal data processing, which the client signs on your copy of the work card.
TISS records the consents provided by the client when registering an order—whether it is consent for marketing use of selected data or other types of consent used. TISS also prints consent texts on the back of the order page for the client’s signature. These texts can be individually customized for each optical store, as each store may have its own formulations.
If the system also records information of a medical nature or clients’ birth numbers, necessary security projects must be in place. The security project or guidelines are the responsibility of each optical store. Our company fully supports the preparation of this documentation, but each company, optical store, or clinic creates its own personal data protection documentation independently.
Our company has a security project compliant with current legislation and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), but using the TISS system requires each company using TISS to adjust their documentation accordingly.
It is possible to add various texts to all print reports from TISS Optic. The most common ones include instructions for use and excerpts from the warranty conditions (required by law). It is also important not to forget the obligation to provide information about the processing of customers’ personal data. TISS prints all relevant consents not only on order or refraction cards but also as standalone print reports.
The content includes data types needed for deeper sales statistics and employee monitoring. It also covers information on profitability and branch performance, sales times (useful for adjusting and planning staff in the store), client tracking (new versus returning clients), and other details. We regularly update management reports with data requested by our optical stores.
Yes. If necessary, this function can be disabled for individual employees so that sales are limited only to items listed in the price lists and stock.
Nothing happens. The system is online; you simply bring a new computer, open the internet, go to www.tiss.sk, log in, and continue working as before. Imagine it like internet banking: would you lose your money if the computer you use for payments breaks down? You wouldn’t. That’s because the data is stored in the cloud on our servers, just like your money is stored in your bank.
TISS Optic is suitable for both small family-run and large optical stores. The advantage of the system is its modularity. As outlined in the list of features, all functions can be turned off, on, or customized to suit the needs of both small and large optical stores. Many optical stores track stock down to the exact euro, while others do not track stock at all and use TISS Optic only for client record-keeping.
Our prices are transparent and can be viewed in the Pricing section. The system operates on a monthly subscription fee, which includes many services and unlimited support via the hotline. The system cannot be purchased with a one-time payment precisely because we continuously improve, update, and advance it.
Of course. TISS Optic is online software, which means you don’t install anything. You access the program by logging in at TISS.sk. It works similarly to internet banking. You can use it not only from a single Windows computer but from any device with internet access.
TISS Optic includes a universal loyalty module based on point collection. The customer receives a loyalty card with a unique number. These cards, featuring your logo, can be supplied by us or produced by your advertising agency. When making a payment, the card is scanned and points are added based on the amount spent. On the next purchase, the customer can use loyalty points as a form of payment.
The value of 1 point—that is, how much 1 euro spent is worth in points—is determined by the optical store. It’s also up to the store to decide whether the cards are transferable within a family, completely non-transferable, and who is eligible to redeem the rewards.
If an optical store uses a loyalty program, it usually differs from others. The good news is that TISS can be adapted to match your preferred setup in most cases.
Yes. The complaint protocol is one of the many print reports managed by TISS. A list of all complaints is included as part of the system.
Yes. The values of the consignment stock can be separated in calculations and reports from the value of the optical store’s own inventory, so they do not enter into the company’s assets. The system also provides an overview of consignment products sold over a selected period, allowing you to generate a report for the consignment supplier.
Inventory checks can also be carried out separately for consignment products or for items owned by the optical store (in regular stock).
After completing the inventory, it is possible to print the current value of the stock (own or consignment) according to various categories (for example, only the value of lenses, only the value of accessories or frames, and so on, and they can also be categorized by suppliers). It is also possible to print the discovered differences and their valuation in stock price.
It is possible to go back to inventory values and, for example, perform inventory on January 15th, comparing stock levels recorded as of January 1st of that year. This is called a retrospective inventory.
For all print reports, it is also possible to add a custom heading, for example, if you perform inventory as of December 31st, but practically do it only on January 3rd of the following year, you can change the document header to "Stock status as of 31.12.2025."
No. The main reason is that we do not want to overwhelm the client’s inventory with hundreds of newly created stock items (or just price list items). Each optical store creates its lens inventory structure based on our recommendations, and this structure is significantly simpler and smaller than the suppliers’ price lists. Nevertheless, the full price list is included, and TISS contains everything from various price lists. Importing price lists from data files is possible upon individual request.
Yes. As we have already mentioned in several places, TISS Optic is online, so no installation is required. It works similarly to your internet banking – you log in by entering security details from anywhere in the world. At the same time, one employee can be stocking new products, another selling in the store, and a third working in the office.
This question is especially important in connection with inventory, since it can also be done using multiple computers and tablets at the same time, not just one device. Inventory therefore takes much less time.
Yes. Having one company ID (IČO) is not a problem; under a single login for the optical store, we can connect different branches that operate as separate business entities. The system can also automatically create invoices and issue/receipt slips for transfers between these formally separate warehouses.
Inventory can be carried out separately as well, with values valid only for the given branch.
